London Big Ben
The Big Ben London (or Clock Tower) was built in 1859 and is named after the Great Bell. The Big Ben is 96 meters high and its clock hangs at 55 metres. The four clock faces was used to make sure that the Big Ben was the largest four-faced clock in the world, but nowadays it is not the largest any more. It was defeated by the Allen-Bradley Clock Tower in Milwaukee in Wisconsin. The design of the Big Ben was made by Augustus Pugin and was the last design he made before he died.
Tower Bridge
The London Tower Bridge is one of the most famous buildings and an icon of London. The building was completed in 1894 and was one of the greatest engineering marvels of its age. Take a walk over the walkways which are 42 metres above the River Thames. From this height visitors can see some of the famous sights of London such as the St Paul's Cathedral, the Canary Wharf, the London Eye and the Tower of London.
